Buffer
At the top right of the main IDpack Producer screen, you can see a status bar that indicates the number of cards in your buffer and the maximum number of badges you can print on a page.

The badges you print accumulate in the buffer. When the buffer is full, it will automatically drop back to 0 and send the job to the printer. Therefore, when you create badges in IDpack Producer, the printing process is handled automatically. The maximum number of badges allowed in the buffer at one time is determined by the badge layout you selected in IDpack Designer.
Some layouts have one badge per sheet. When that is the case, IDpack renames all the Send to Buffer buttons and menu commands to read simply Print Badge and the Buffer is hidden altogether. Obviously, with only one badge to print, the Buffer is not required. On some other layouts, such as shipping labels, you can have as many as 60 badges on each page!
The Buffer is hidden altogether when producing plastic ID cards because only one card is printed at a time.
