The Color Code is a feature that helps you categorize your cardholders in IDpack Producer. You can place 3 different types of objects on the card in order to identify the category of the person on the badge. You can associate 14 colors with 14 descriptions that will assign a security or other type of ID level to each type of badge holder, as required. This may be useful when you have several different zones within a complex or building (or at an event), each requiring a different level of access (ex: manager, security, volunteer, media, visitor etc.).
You can see three columns on the screen:

The number that will be written in the database field: idp_colorcode to specify the code selected in IDpack Producer 
Add/Edit Badge. The number must be between 0 and 13. If you don't wish to use the Color Code at all and want to import records from your own database, put a "-1" inside the field. If you are using your own database with a category but not using the same structure to identify card holders, you can add a new table to your database and create a match table between your structure and IDpack.

You can change the default color setting by clicking on the icon next to the color.

Name of the color code that will be available in the 
Color Code in Add/Edit Badge in IDpack Producer. A description must be entered if you want to use that color in IDpack.
In order to use color codes on your badges, you must place at least one of the following three objects (available in the toolbox) on the badge:

You can place blue rectangles (that you can resize) on the badge, that will change color depending on the Color Code assigned under IDpack Producer Add Badge.
| • | Dynamic Graphic Tool |
You can place a graphic using the Dynamic Graphic Tool that will change depending on the Color Code assigned under IDpack Producer Add/Edit Badge.
| • | Dynamic Text Tool |
You can place a Dynamic Text Tool on the badge and select a Color Code from the pull-down menu. It will print the name of the Color Code on the badge.
