Badge Information

The Badge Information frame has four different sections:

Picture Capture

This frame manages the picture that will be printed on the badge where you placed the Picture Object in IDpack Designer. If you don't need a picture on your badge or ID card, just skip this section.

You can add a picture in Badge Information in 3 ways:

1.Using Live Picture, click Capture Picture to take a snapshot of the Live Preview.

2.Using Import Picture, you can import a picture from an external file, such as one produced by a digital camera.

3.You can copy the picture file that matches the Picture file extension into the directory of your Badge Layout. It must be saved with the same Picture filename using information that you have set up in the IDpack Designer clip0058 Badge Setup. The picture will be resized inside the rectangle of the Picture Object while preserving the aspect ratio of the image.

clip0076 Note

An example will be more clear: You can capture your picture with a digital camera using high resolution. Your camera will tell you the file name under which the picture was saved (most digital cameras save images with incremental numbering). Enter that number in IDpack for the record the picture was taken. Let's say: DSC0124.jpg for record #100354; for example, you can create a Field Definition called: Picture name. When you have finished taking all your pictures, you just copy all the pictures from your camera into the directory of IDpack and IDpack will match the pictures with the records automatically and you will be able to print the badges.

For more information, please refer to Capture Picture or Import Picture.
