Contactless Smartcard
This section allows you to configure the use of contactless cards and readers.
Card Reader
Select your Card Reader from the drop-down menu.
Port
Select the port you will be using (1 or 0).
Type
Select the type of encoding that is being used from the drop-down menu.
If your printer has a built in encoder select the Printer Write Database option. Your printer will encode the card as it is printed and write to the database.
If you are using an external encoder select the External Read/Write Database option which will allow you to scan the card as it is being produced and write the corresponding code in the database.
Once the cards have been encoded and written in the database, you can select the External Read function which will pull up the corresponding badge information when a card is read. Please note, the cards must have been previously written in the database in order to use this function.
