Dynamic Text Graphic Tool
The Dynamic Text Graphic Tool is a powerful function in IDpack Designer. It allows you to specify an image which will be printed on the badge when IDpack Producer meets a certain string in the badge information according to the field selected in the Dynamic Text Graphic Tool. OK, but what does all that mean in plain language?
| • | For example, you have a field in your Badge Setup Field Definitions called Allow bus? and in the database you only have two strings that are allowed to be entered: YES and NO. On the badge you would like an icon printed according to what the field contains in the Badge Information of IDpack Producer. |
When IDpack Producer encounters a YES or a NO in the field: Allow bus? it will place and print the graphic where you positioned it on the Workspace. To make it easier for data entry and avoid extra problems, the field is NOT CASE SENSITIVE, so if "no," "No," "nO" or "NO" is entered in the field, it will print the graphics anyway. But the string must be an exact match, so if you enter "NOT" or "NON" or anything other than what is specified in the Dynamic Text Graphic input text, it won't work.
